The museum, which was established from the quondam studio, is at the same time the seat of the Pál Molnár-C. Foundation. In 2007 we arranged our largest exhibition so far, entitled “Our country’s secret power”, in the undercroft of the St. Stephen’s Basilica in Budapest, by means of the collaboration of the families, who look after the artistic legacy. The need to establish the foundation emerged on that occasion.
Looking after the artistic legacy, meetings with the keepers of the legacy and establishing cooperation are within the main objectives of the foundation. After the departure of the elderly artist fellows, the families as keepers of the legacy take over the considerable charge of preserving, passing on and handling the valuables.
Furthermore the foundation supports the activity of the museum, publicizes Pál Molnár-C.’s oeuvre, and in addition it provides for the organization of exhibitions held in the Spring Hall, the publication of related brochures and issues of “The artist’s mirror” with the assistance and help of the families, who look after the legacy.
